Success Stories
Maria and Zing

Maria and ZingMaria Griffin was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1991. It has affected her right arm and hand, and left her legs weak and very fatigued.

After she found out about service dogs, a two year search led her to Zing, a smooth collie from a breeder in Pennsylvania. She brought Zing to NLMAD where he excelled throughout training.

Zing braces to help Maria to her feet after a fall. He retrieves any dropped item and the phone. Most of all he provides the balance Maria needs while walking.

You can now see the two of them happily walking the campus of UNCG where Maria is pursuing higher education on her way to a PhD!
